Anime Pie Diner

OK, I confess... the Anime Pie Diner is not quite in the same league as IBM, or the Red Cross when it comes to new entrants into SL. However, on the plus side, as far as I am concerned, it is owned and run by a friend of mine, and as the first supporter - nay, Pie Enthusiast - it would be most remiss of me not to blog the current state of the build. So here it is:

As you can see, the basic build is now in place - though I think it needs a bit of buffing to bring it into the Aimee Weber category. More especially, it really would benefit from some projectile pies - and that means complicated animations and scripts. Unfortunately, I don't know if the small team has the necessary knowledge to pull off what sounds like a complicated business.

I know a small clique of IBMers have taken to checking out this blog - and no doubt others with the relevant skills have also stumbled upon this quiet backwater of blogworld. If you have the skills and want a feelgood, not-for-profit (or, indeed, not-for-any-kind-of-payment) project then maybe you would care to contribute said skills to enable this noble, obscure - nay, niche - pasttime.

Finally, here is the proprietor - Ms Kurosawa - a lady for whom the motto "Let no pie remain unthrown" could have been conjured out of the aether (in fact, I just did).

UPDATE: Another new build, lying in the cluster around Info Island is UPMC - the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (sic) - a brand new island, already under construction. I spoke with their lead builder, but you will have to wait for another day to find out all about it, dear reader.
